About
Dhayani Yogesvaran is an actor, voice actor and singer based in Sydney, Australia. Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia she is of South Indian and Sri Lankan heritage. Music, song and dance had always been an indispensable part of celebrations and family gatherings growing up, but it was not until as a young adult that she formally embarked on her singing journey.
MUSICAL BACKGROUND
Dhayani sings classical pieces, musical theatre, and folk. Her debut album was released in December 2023, and she has performed at various events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, festivals, and bespoke occasions.
Artistic Approach
Dhayani is passionate about live performances without a microphone, allowing her audience to experience the pure resonance of the human voice. She is interested in performing in acoustically unique spaces and exploring the healing power of music.
CAREER
As a voice actor, Dhayani has contributed to advertising campaigns for radio, TV, online platforms, corporate projects, and audiobooks. Notable projects include work for an international health and wellness app and a video for an international conference for museum professionals. She also co-hosts a community radio program, engaging with local artists.
In 2023, Dhayani landed her first feature film role, which inspired her to enrol in and complete a Singing and Acting Studio course at NIDA in 2024.
Dhayani is also a trained lawyer with a well-established career in government.
Personal Interests
Outside of her professional work, Dhayani enjoys tango, salsa, yoga, theatre, live music, and spending time with her fur baby, Finley.
